Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service. The Driver will operate Sprinter Vans.
Duties
• Safely operate vehicles to transport freight to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
• Operate heavy equipment as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles when necessary.
• Must be able to lift over 50lbs (there is live offloading work consistently at times)
Experience
• At least 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience, Clean Record
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
• Experience in freight handling and logistics will be beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations related to transportation.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• Additional Certifications: Dangerous Goods (will haul / training provided), FAST designation
