About Us:
With over two decades of experience, The Panel Shop, part of the Pennecon Services and Maintenance Division, leads the industry in designing and producing custom industrial control panels. Established in 1995 in Fredericton, NB, we provide world-class design, programming, assembly, testing, and commissioning services across North America. Our panels are QA tested, guaranteed, and certified to CSA C22.2 No286 and UL 508A standards.

Position: Controls Technologist
Are you a high-energy, results-driven professional with a passion for innovation and teamwork? We’re looking for an experienced Controls Technologist to join The Panel Shop family!

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and program PLC / HMI systems
• Create control panel designs using AutoCAD
• Estimate project costs, support procurement, and assist with project administration
• Provide field startup and commissioning services
• Collaborate with sales teams and support customer inquiries

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology (Instrumentation) or Instrumentation Technician
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with PLC software (e.g., Allen Bradley RSlogix)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, organizational, and computer skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Commitment to safety and quality standards; BST is an asset
