Our client in the healthcare industry is seeking a Posit/R-Studio Administrator to join their team. As a Posit/R-Studio Administrator, you will be part of the administration and troubleshooting team supporting the Posit. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in R-Studio platform administration and knowledge of Unix command line scripting, filesystem and configuration management, among other requirements.
Job Title: Posit/R-Studio Administrator
Location: Alberta (Remote)
Duration: 6 Months with possibility of extension.
What’s the Job?
- Provide effective maintenance, troubleshooting, administration, and best practice guidance on the Ministry of Health Posit ecosystem
- Assist the Analytics Modernization Program team in providing best practices, guidance related to processes and procedures as well as documenting key information to be used for training purposes
- Support R-Studio Application and Server including R-Connect, Workbench, Package Manager, and package support/missing packages/downloading and updating packages
- Diagnose and resolve server errors, troubleshoot R-Studio with LDAP, run server commands and content, and troubleshoot connectivity and time-out issues
- Additional skills for extended support: Python, SQL, and Shiny Apps
What’s Needed?
- Strong experience in R-Studio platform administration
- Knowledge of Unix command line scripting, filesystem and configuration management
- Knowledge of Posit Workbench configuration and best practices (i.e. load balancing, data connectivity, monitoring, project sharing, session management, Jupyter, VSCode)
- Knowledge of Posit Connect configuration and best practices (i.e. Python, reports, dashboards)
- Knowledge of Posit Package Manager configuration and best practices (i.e. organize/centralize packages, automate syncs, share local packages, restrict package access, find repositories, freeze repositories, reliable/consistent package.
