Licensed Optician

Brand new Optical Store looking for an experienced optician.

Job Summary:

The Optician plays a crucial role in assisting customers with selecting eyewear and ensuring proper fitting and comfort. This position requires a blend of customer service, technical knowledge, and retail skills to provide exceptional vision care services.

Duties:

– Assist customers in selecting eyewear that suits their style and vision needs
– Take precise measurements for fitting eyeglasses or contact lenses
– Adjust and repair eyewear as needed
– Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and frame materials
– Maintain accurate customer records and prescription information
– Collaborate with eye care professionals to ensure accurate prescriptions and recommendations
– Manage inventory of frames, lenses, and contact lenses

Qualifications:

– Must be a licensed Optician
– Experience in optical sales or retail management
– Knowledge of optical terminology and lens options
– Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems is a plus
– Strong communication and customer service skills
– Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
– Proficiency in using optical equipment for measurements and adjustments

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 37.5 per week
