Job Overview:
As an Inbound Dispatcher and Logistics Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring efficient and timely delivery of inbound shipments. You’ll coordinate with drivers, monitor routes, and manage schedules to maximize productivity. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable with technology, and able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and schedule inbound shipments, ensuring on-time deliveries.
• Monitor driver locations, routes, and performance to optimize schedules.
• Communicate with drivers and provide support with directions, traffic updates, and any issues encountered on the road.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, routes, and driver availability.
• Collaborate with the operations and customer service teams to resolve any delivery or scheduling issues.
• Use dispatch software and GPS tracking to monitor load progress.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with drivers and carriers.
• Address last-minute changes or requests efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption.
Requirements:
• Experience in trucking, logistics, or dispatching is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with dispatch and GPS tracking software.
• Knowledge of Ontario and U.S. transportation regulations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Positive attitude and strong team-player mentality.
