Hiring Experienced Housekeeper in Vancouver, BC – $30.0 Hourly

Seeking an experienced residential Housekeeper for a home located in Dunbar/Southland area. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence. This position is live-out.
Schedule:Monday to Thursday 8am-2pm.

Compensation: $24-$30 per hour based on experience

Perks: Room for advances, bonuses based on performance

Start date: November 25th, 2024

The family has one friendly dog who does not require care. No cooking is required. Three children are in school full time and no child care is required.

Duties
● Daily housekeeping to include dusting, vacuuming, making beds, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, washing floors

● Daily laundry, ironing and steaming, following family’s color coding system to ensure items are put away in proper rooms (Attention to washing instructions and appropriate care for particular fabrics is imperative)

● Trash and recycling management

● Cleaning of outdoor kitchen during summer months

● Special projects include, but not limited to, quarterly deep cleans, weekly fridge clean out

Applicant Qualities

Must have 3 years of previous experience working in a private residence
References required

Excellent housekeeping, laundry and ironing skills; correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces

Must have excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage your time and weekly list of responsibilities with minimal oversight

Must have strong communication skills; succinctly and clearly communicate important updates (ex appliances not working, stains on carpets, cleaning product inventory etc) and suggestions using the family’s preferred method of communication

Must be reliable, maintain a consistent work schedule, and show up on time for fully scheduled shifts

Must be able to work as a team with other household staff including Household Manager

Must be proactive and anticipate needs before they arise; actively look for ways to stay ahead

Must maintain confidentiality at all times

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
