Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is actively recruiting Security Officers to join the team at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton and the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville.

As a Security Officer you would be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of people and premises. Specific duties include:

• Patrolling and monitoring all areas of the facility including buildings and parking lots
• Operating surveillance equipment
• Controlling access to buildings
• Removing unauthorized persons or persons posing a threat to security
• Restraining patients who pose a threat to themselves or others
• Responding to alarms, codes, and other emergencies
• Monitoring and controlling the employee access system
• Writing in logs and preparing reports

Who you are

You possess a post-secondary diploma in law enforcement, corrections, criminal justice, or a related field, or you have a minimum of five years of military experience. You have written and spoken competence in English.
