Position Overview:

Are you looking to be part of a growing and developing team in an organization that values its people, customers, work, and supply chain? If so, APEX is currently accepting applications for a General Labourer within its Custom Contract Manufacturing Group.

This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Shift Supervisor. The primary role of this position is to prepare metallic surfaces in support of machining, welding, paint, or other requirements.

Some overtime may be required, and training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

• Perform work as organized by the Supervisor.
• General hand finishing operations (i.e. sanding, grinding, etc.).
• Cleaning, labelling, and packaging of parts or materials.
• Maintain a clean well-organized work area.
• Support material or goods handling.
• Operate cleaning equipment (washing, sanding, blasting, etc.).
• Use all personal protective gear as directed by policy or other.
• Other duties as assigned to meet operational requirements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrate ability to function in a team-based work environment.
• Self-motivated with the willingness to stick to tasks that may be repetitive in nature.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Able to comprehend and effectively carry out oral and written instructions.
