Brake Press Operator – Days – Oakville

Brake and Shear Operator – PERMANENT – DAYS – up to $27/hr to start dep. on exper.

LOCATION: Oakville, Ontario

Qualifications / Requirements:

High School Diploma
Able to read and interpret blueprints
Experience with brake and shear machine operating
Good mathematical and measuring skills
Valid forklift license (or willing to obtain)
Ability to handle physical workload
Attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Solid communication skills – written and verbal
Computer literate

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for safe operation of CNC machinery for forming steel gauges and materials as per drawings & specs
• Read production drawings to produce various configurations
• Cut, notch, and bend steel sheets according to specified production drawings and specifications
• Set-up tooling on brake press for specific bend patterns
• Operate various equipment (shear press, punches and hydraulic brake press, vertical and radial drill press)
• Use overhead cranes and material handling equipment (or willing to be trained on this)
• Follow safety procedures
• Other duties as directed by management
