Hiring Sidewalk Plow Operators

Job Description:
PML Contracting is seeking a reliable and motivated Sidewalk Plow Operator for the winter season. In this role, you will be responsible for clearing sidewalks in downtown Ottawa during snow events, ensuring safe and accessible pedestrian pathways. The position requires operating a compact front-end loader with a plow and salter attachment.
Responsibilities:
Operate a compact front-end loader with plow and salter attachments to clear snow and apply salt or sand on sidewalks.
Follow instructions and work schedules as dispatched by the City of Ottawa.
Perform pre-operational checks and ensure equipment is in good working condition.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately.
Work efficiently in various weather conditions, from light snow to heavy storms,
Daytime/Nighttime shifts available.
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating front-end loaders or similar equipment is preferred.
Must be a reliable and motivated individual with a personal vehicle to get to work, as shifts may start early and end late.
Ability to work in cold and challenging weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
