About the Opportunity

WOLF is looking for a full-time Sr Manager, Technology: Safety Certifiable Solutions based in Aurora, ON (hybrid). If you are applying from the USA, a remote position may be considered.

Reporting to the CTO, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading safety certifiable technology initiatives to bolster the organizations presence in the military, aerospace, avionics, and defense sectors. This newly created role will lead the development and launch of safety certifiable solutions in an emerging market for WOLF, focusing on establishing processes, addressing market pain points, and delivering competitive advantages.

In this position, you will be primarily responsible for driving innovation by advancing new intellectual property, connecting with customers to identify challenges, and ensuring alignment with industry standards and certifications to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading the development of WOLF’s safety certifiable solutions
  • Defining product features, contributing to strategy, and maintaining a competitive edge through innovative requirements management systems
  • Participating in industry initiatives like FACE, maintaining roadmaps, and advocating for emerging technologies
  • Developing SME expertise in Xilinx FPGA, GPU software stacks, and functional safety standards (e.g., DO-254, DO-178, ISO-26262)
  • Representing WOLF in building relationships with thought leaders and industry representatives
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align product specifications and market strategies
  • Generating technical documentation, including block diagrams and datasheets
  • Providing mentorship and technical leadership to foster team expertise
  • Travelling occasionally for customer visits and to attend trade shows/conferences as a representative of WOLF to promote products

About You

To qualify, you will need a BSc/BA in science or engineering or equivalent technical experience in embedded systems or mission-critical computing, along with 5 years of experience in product management, FAE, or Solutions/Systems Architecture. Strong technical expertise in one or more of these areas is essential, with experience in the military, aerospace, or defense sectors being highly desirable.

While a background in product management is preferred, strong technical knowledge and expertise are essential for success, with support available to help you develop product management skills as needed.

WOLF is a military and aerospace manufacturer requiring strict adherence to CGP and ITAR requirements. As a condition of employment, applicants must be able to provide valid documentation to show Canadian or US citizenship or Canadian Permanent Residency and undergo a police check with no criminal background.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Strong understanding of systems and safety certifiable platforms
  • Knowledge of requirements management system and traceability
  • Knowledge of V&V process
  • Expertise in managing BSP releases and collaborating with engineering teams to drive product development
  • Familiarity with functional safety standards, including DO-254, DO-178, and ISO-26262
  • Knowledge of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) or similar methodologies in safety-critical environments
  • Knowledge of GPUs, AI, and embedded systems technologies, particularly safety certifiable solutions
  • Experience with Xilinx FPGA and GPU Software Stacks, including application use cases, sensor I/O, and protocols
  • Willingness and ability to travel for organisation needs
  • Design Assurance Level A (DAL-A) certification (Artifact generation and FAA certification)
