Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Red Seal Plumber to join our team, working across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. As a key member of our plumbing crew, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and gas systems according to codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints to plan the layout and installation of plumbing systems.
Install and repair pipes, fixtures, and fittings for water distribution, waste disposal, gas, and air systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Work with a variety of materials, including metals (iron, steel, lead, copper) and non-metallic materials (plastic, glass, clay).
Cut, thread, bend, and install pipes using hand tools, pipe cutters, machines, and bending equipment.
Secure pipes in place using brackets, hangers, fittings, couplings, and clamps.
Install plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, bathtubs, water heaters, and commercial-grade processing equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing system malfunctions, repairing or replacing broken pipes and fixtures as needed.
Perform regular maintenance tasks, including cleaning drains, clearing blockages, and thawing frozen pipes.
Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper installation of plumbing systems in new construction projects.
Comply with plumbing codes, gas regulations, and TSSA requirements.
Maintain accurate records, including timesheets, material orders, planning sheets, and estimates.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all aspects of plumbing work.
Skills and Qualifications:
Red Seal Plumber Certification (Required).
2 years of experience as a licensed plumber, with hands-on expertise in residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems.
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, tools, and equipment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and building codes.
Experience with welding, soldering, and pipe joining techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and fix complex plumbing issues.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and safety.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients effectively.
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
Full-time, 8-hour shifts (Monday to Friday).
On-call and overtime required, including weekends as needed.
Regular travel between job sites.
Education & Certification:
AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (Required).
Red Seal Plumbing certification (Required).
